I have made the criss-cross coasters before, too. I just love them. I made a set for my son's therapist that gave her a different one for each season on her desk at work (one for each holiday, plus some non-holiday fillers). I hope to make some quilted tote bags as Christmas presents, maybe a purse too. I bought this purse pattern & just love it: . It uses no pattern pieces (I detest those) and sews-up fairly quickly.
