here is the pattern. Starting at the left. Lay the background piece and the first piece of the three little spears. Sew beyond the spear into the next background a 1/4 ins. You can see the folds of where the next piece is going.

Here you see all the little spears added and going a 1/4 inch into the next background

The sewing line is fold and cut with the aaq ruler and the background is added and so on
