Women, even in today's world, are abused. I've seen it where I work. It's sad. If more women were given cast iron skillets when they started a relationship or were married, and used them (in a multitude of ways), there'd be a clearer view of where people stand.
I have a little mini rolling pin that I inherited from my nanny, it has a picture of a little woman wearing a bonnet chasing a little man in overalls....it says "Husband Tamer" on it....lol..I remember her having it all through my childhood, and must have commented on it, as she gave it to me when I was in early adulthood...I have it on a shelf in the kitchen along with her antique biscuit cutter, her mini toy iron stove, and another little trinket that says, "A retirees wife gets twice as much husband for half as much money!"...my grandma was such a great lady, great sense of humor...good thing for my Papa, eh??..
