there might be some tutes on sewing Drunkards Path blocks together which is what the NYB's are. i find the centers of both pieces, crease and match and pin, then take the ends/or sides of each and match. they will be straight with each other, pin. then perhaps a pin in between on the curves too.
then sew. with the pie piece on the top since it has more fabric to ease in as you go along.
