Have you ever tried the Michael Miller Jet Black Solid? It's amazing.
Blackest black I've found. There is no red or blue or green tint to it. It's just the most deepest black.

It is a wonderful black - but the three pieces I've had (from different bolts and different times) DID shrink quite a bit crosswise. (But then, I soak my fabrics in hot water) - over two inches.
