Well, if you were doing one project and had enough fabric, you probably wouldn't notice the difference of the tinted black.
You would, however, notice the difference of your other fabrics with the MM fabric. They just pop off it.
The only reason I noticed was that years ago I went back to my LQS to get more black for a project. As I was looking at the 3 black bolts, the light happened to hit them and I noticed there were obvious differences.
But keep it in mind to check if you ever get to a bigger shop.
And you can always order the MM online. ;-)
