My sister inherited a whole stack of hand made Sun Bonnet Sue's from her Grandmother in law several years ago. She just showed them to me recently and I am trying to encourage her to complete a quilt. The Sue's are completed, about 10" tall and just need appliqued on something. I'm a fairly new quilter and my sister has only done one quilt about 35 years ago, but sews other things very well.
My question, how would you finish it? My first thought was different colored blocks and she thought just one solid piece and put them on that. I just saw a thread about muslin and it struck me that would probably be a good thing to put them on.
What suggestions do you have?
