I had no idea how much controversy there was on this board! And all this time I've just been reading the debates (some more heated than others) and learning, learning, learning... and being saved from some expensive mistakes... and being stretched in my creativity.
I see things like pre-wash or not (BIG topic), press to side or center and the like as matters of technique, and it's a one-way or the other kind of deal. No biggie, I just read, learn, and decide for myself. The copyright issue is clarifying a very confusing and often annoying law.
What torques me are subjects like what is or is not a quilt, where you buy your fabric, what machine one uses, etc. All I can think is, our great-grandmothers made quilts because they needed them for daily living, fabric was expensive and hard to come by for many, and you made the most of what you had, period. Like many other things in life, we can argue about them because we have CHOICES. For the most part, great-grandma didn't.
Now, I'm putting on my raincoat to protect myself from the tomatoes. Please pass the MAYO.
And I can't remember who it was who made the comment about reading and making cat noises, but that there was FUNNY.
