In the Spring 2010 Fons & Porter's Easy Quilts there was a pattern for "Sunny Day" that would make up quick & would look very pretty with your focus fabric for the long strips joining the pieced strips rows. I used it as a pattern for a quilt top for my grandson using Hungry Caterpillar fabrics & it turned out really cute. Very easy to do & you could even work in some large squares of the focus fabric.
