While you are rinsing the threads and lint off the roller, aren't the threads and lint going down the drain? Don't you ever get a plugged up drain?
I got a tip from somewhere to use a clean, never used toilet brush to brush up the threads. I brush everything into a pile and pick it all up with my hands and throw it away. A lot of the threads also stick to the brush so I clean that off at the end as well and throw the threads into the wastebasket. All Done! No clogged drains! No refills for a lint roller to buy! I should say that I have carpeting on the floor where I sew :XD:  :XD:  but I have to leave it there because I live in an apartment with wall to wall carpeting.
