Please, please, ask gently, gracefully for the agreed on price. Like so many others have said, it is not the way to go. Groceries stores or quilt shops will not let you walk out of their store w/out money or credit card. You should get paid the agreed upon price or they should be ashamed of themselves and offer the merchandise back with apologies!
