You know, I may be full of beans about its being a featherweight. The serial number is: AK693582
I located the serial number here:
http://www.planetpatchwork.com/fweight.htm which is why I thought it was a FW.
Here are two pictures....I sent them to my DH who said the same thing you did, that it did not look like a featherweight.
Can anyone tell what it is then?
