This has turned out to be an intereting discussion...The value of a quilt. I hope she was a "friend." To do this much work and your talent to a stranger for that price by hour would feel like being "abused or taken."
We have seen a posting on someone that has found a "treasured made quilt" dropped off at Goodwill and purchased for $10 or $20. I remember the picture of the Soldier Quilt of Valor that was "tossed" and have had trouble getting this one out of my memory.
I had never thought about selling a qullt and what to charge. Good post.
