The key is that it work like a tesselation, so the measurements, or the size of the blades, on each side need to be exactly the same.

So if each blade starts 2" in from the corner,, then it has to be that way on ALL 4 sides of the square.
Now connect those dots thru the center.
See?

Now by adjusting the angle - as long the lines still bisect the center, you can get a totally different look (from every other Twister quilt out there), with the same amount of work.

Just saying. ;-)
So, if I take one of my square rulers and add off-set lines, I'll have my own twister ruler... Hmm, pondering!! :)
