You did a fantastic job and I'm sure your friend is thrilled. I agree that making quilts takes time and money and people don't realize that - as you demonstrated - that even with a higher price tag, you're not even making minimum wage sometimes when you make quilts. Thank you for doing the math (not always my strong suit - especially when I figure the cost in making quilts and quilted items) for me. I appreciate it. Again, that is one beautiful quilt and I love all the fabric you picked out - gorgeous.
