There is no name for the pattern - I sort of made it up as I went along. I'll try and recreate it:

Chain 4 or 5 - join to make a ring

Work 12 DC in ring

Ch 2, 2 DC in each stitch around (24 DC)

Ch 2, DC in next, 2 DC in next, repeat around (36 sc)

Ch 2, DC in next 2, 2 DC in next, repeat around (48 sc)

Depending on the size hat you want, you may want to do another row or two of increases or just continue each round with 48 stitches. Stop when you feel hat is right height. On some I did a row or two of SC and on some did a ruffle.

If you do decide to do additional rows on increases, I found it's best to do a couple of rows of 48 before the next increase and I spaced the increases further apart. Does this make sense? Hope so.

The flowers I just "fudged" - I think each one is a bit different.
