It opens the designs up and u can also read up and be able to do all sorts of stuff with it, like resize or change color to see how the design looks, ect. I never do much with it but it does have the ability. I get alot of designs from embroidery library too. I have a embroidery folder area in my E drive so when I buy designs I save them to that folder. I have several smaller folders all broken down into names. Alphabets,Cars, Baby items, flowers, and on and on..so when I get a design I put it in the right folder which comes up alphabetical. Works great. Start now in the beginning before u get lots of designs so u won't get overwelmed.
