I try to keep my sewing within my sewing room. Last year we did have to put a freezer in the sewing room and hubby and I have our computer in the sewing room so I did have to put some WIP's/UFO's on the guest room shelf but I am slowly taking care of those so I can be only in the sewing room. I am only buying what I need to finish what I have. If I start something new I am using my stash. I am getting very creative with what I have on hand. I could probably make 20 quilts just from my scrap stash alone.
Good luck with the organization. If you run into fabric that is a "What was I thinking?" Donate it to a charity that makes quilts for others. It will be a double feel good.
