My friends just returned from there and there are not "quilt shops" per se. They did bring me a piece of fabric that is used for a Sari (their native dress), but it was thinner albeit beautiful. I am sure someone can direct her to a fabric/sari shop, but again there is very little quilting done there. I work with students at our university from India and they say the same. I hope she has a wonderful trip.
