I was calling them the wrong thing. the straps are the ones that go inside the building connecting the walls to the roof. Tie down or anchors are metal rods that are put into the ground, usually cemented, then have a aircraft cable that goes around the joists underneath the building. According to the plans that i received when the shed was bought..it has to have 14 anchors to meet code. All of this to make sure that the building doesn't become Dorthy's house from the Wizard of Oz in the event of Mother Natural having a bad day lol..
Some of the code's are silly ( i can't have anything with in 35 feet of my fence..) We can't have another dwelling on the property. So the comment about a bath room out in the studio is out. But the pay off are worth having to deal with the county a few times a year=)
