Report: I survived the Jacksonville, FL Quilt Fest!!.
So much walking, spent my cash and then hit the debit card. LOL Beautiful quilts hanging up for all, some with ribbons and other you think to your self I should have entered one of mine, maybe next year. Material seems to be selling for $9.95 and up depending what you were buying. They were selling so much had to wait in line for it to be even cut. Fat quarters mostly $3.00, some cute had put $2.99 on theirs. I did find one booth and they had $2.65 and then had a chest full of $1.00 pieces, of course I had to buy some of each. Patterns average $9.95 + tx many at higher prices and few under this. We took a cart with us to put our purses in and items we bought so our hands were free, people would say, "I wish I thought to do that". We even brought our own lunch and sat in the eating area to rest and etc. Shared a table with 4 ladies from SC who had driven down for the day to see the show.
We stopped at Goodwill pound store on the way home and my friend found a older quilt right off the bat and guess what I found a small Singer Sewing machine $3.00 no wires to run it will have to find out something on it next.
Off to rest and look over all my goodies again. The fest is there for 2 more days, take your camera and enjoy. Marge
