I never find coupons for what I want to buy. We buy fresh fruit, vegetables. We're both diabetic and DH is celiac.
We also take the most economical purchase and that usually beats the coupons on national brands. We buy paper products and cleaning products at Sam's and dog food at the feed store.
I spent a lot on a new sewing machine and serger and now I'm trying to make wise purchases on fabric. It's cheaper than therapy and healthier than watching TV - so I guess it's economical also.
