The original recipe called for 1/3 of a jalepeno pepper for mild salsa. I added this not knowing what a kick jalepeno pepper really has. I prefer not to add any jalepeno pepper at all, but if you like your salsa with zing, add either 1/3 of a pepper or 2/3 or the whole pepper, chopped, of course!
