I have a magnetic strip in my basement that they all hold to, right in a row. I'd be afraid to have more than one magnetic tray on my sewing table. It sucks up my scissors as it is. But I love it.
In addition to your comment about stuff doesn't spill if you drop it, IF you drop a few pins on the floor, just passing the tray over the floor snags all the loose pins.
