I shop at Aldi regularly. Primarily, i purchase dairy products, staples (ie: flour, sugar, salt, etc) and fresh produce there. I can buy fresh mozzarella balls there for about $3 less than at Kroger. Their milk is always cheaper than Walmart, there cheeses are tasty and cost less. I don't buy their prepackaged salad greens because I find them poor quality, but their fresh produce is usually quite acceptable. I've been buying their fresh pineapple and loving it all summer. I haven't bought meat there and I don't buy a lot of frozen food. Paper plates are a bargain there, but I like name brand paper towels and napkins. Try it, you may like it. Also, about the carts, I often find that, at Walmart or Kroger, I have to try several carts before I find one that steers correctly and doesn't squeak. That is never the case at Aldi. I'm happy to put the quarter in to get a cart that is easy to use and doesn't sound like a one man band!
