A few weeks ago I had asked if my uncle still had
grandma's treadle machine and my aunt said one of my cousins has had it for years. I said that was good because I just wanted it to stay in family. I must have sounded like I really wanted one of my own because she dropped this one off. As far as I know it isn't from family. She told my brother that she found it and was looking for belt and told my sister-in-law that she would be happy if just sewed one seam with it.
Sounds to me like you need to ask her where the machine came from...I'll bet you find out it's a family machine! She's beautiful!! Congrats! :)
