This is the third bedsize handquilted quilt I ever made. I just finished it a few days ago. I call it tumbling tabbies. Even though it is only my 3rd there are years of experience in this quilt between all the wall hangings and little projects I have done, tied quilts and machine quilted quilts. Through this all I have learned:
1. Do NOT use cheap crappy fabric.
2. Do NOT use cheap crappy batting.
This has batiks in the borders and some of the blocks and solids and of course cat prints. It is traditional tumbling blocks pieced with Y seams. I used Hobbs Hierloom batting which is a cotton poly blend and it is backed in flannel.

Close up of quilting in the inner border. Also a batik. I don't like batiks too much do I? LOL
