My name is Ashley, and I live near Knoxville, TN. I spend my evenings hand quilting or trying to learn how to play guitar. I cannot piece a quilt top, so I quilt whole cloth, cheater tops or tops that I buy or are given to me. I have also quilted for others

My grandmother gave all of the grandchildren one of her quilts upon graduating HS. She passed away several years ago. I am re-introducing the tradition when my niece graduates next May. I am also working on a wall-hanging for my dad for Christmas, but I'll have to find and clean my sewing machine for that! :) That will make a nice weekend project for me!

My husband and I have a 14-year old son, 5 cats, 2 dogs and 1 spoiled rabbit!
This is how I quilted for years. I'm now into piecing, can do a decent SID (Stitch In the Ditch on the machine) & am learning how to FMQ (Free Motion Quilting on the machine.) I love that quilting in my PJ's! Hand quilting is my "true love."
