No the FWS CD is not stand alone. You need EQ to use it. The DJ CD is stand alone.
Not quite true because I don't have EQ and I've done all 111 blocks. I believe you have to buy a separate CD to use with EQ. The CD with the book has all the templates individually, but if you go the the FWSQ site you can download the free templates which are sorted by the block.

I don't have EQ and I am using the CD that comes with the book with no problems. Also, the CD with the book is both Windows and Mac compatible.
