I'm thinking maybe I could use Fray check on each yarn end? Does it dry hard? I wouldn't like that.
The only other option I can think of is to undo all the ends and somehow re-knot and re-weave them.
I need some ideas.

I have never tried Fray Check on yarn, but do know that it does not dry hard. If you used a synthetic yarn, I know it does not take kindly to staying the way you want it. I made an afghan one time out of acrylic chenille yarn, thought I had woven the ends in nicely, only to discover later that a DGC (dear grandchild) had untied all the knots. So now I have huge holes that can't be easily redone. I now realize that I didn't leave long enough tails for weaving, next time I will leave them VERY LONG.
