I suspect she is either like this in everything, or else she is just so new to quilting that she hasn't had enough time to be surrounded with a variety of other quilter's ideas and methods. Hang in there and just give her a little "knowing" smile whenever she critizes you. I am sure she thinks she is helping you with all of her NEW knowledge. Remember you love her even with her flaws.
