I had a crown (due to a root canal) for more than 30 years in the lower front. The tooth actually cracked under the crown about 10+ years ago, but kept hanging in there. The only choice for the front per my dentist was an implant, a bridge would not have worked. Decided to do it because my husband was retiring and we would no longer have dental insurance.
It took a while, which I started last year (started Aug last year -finished in January of this year), and only took so long because I required a bone transplant, since the jaw is so thin there and the endodontist had to chip out the tooth root (bone part).
However, it has been great to not have worry about eating anything anymore, since it's been finished.
