Thank you for adding this- there is a whine factor of how unappreciated people are but in reality it is themselves who fail to appreciate others around them. Yes, appreciate others who often are unnoticed- the person who scubs the toilets, the one emptying the garbage, the one who stops and opens the door for a stranger and so on- we have diverted from the simple response of thankyou(name) or sir or mam and don't even notice they exist. We become so consumed with who we are, what we have achieved and what we have. We fail to acknowledge others unless they hold a degree or a position. One thing that really became poinent when I was a dental assistant was you never know a person by simply looking at them. I have met both hauty and humble and my heart was and remained touched by the stories they shared. I look at people and wonder what their story is. Did they have dreams, do they hurt, where have they been and so on. I am continually amazed at what God puts infront of me.
