I squeezed in my spiderweb quilt between customer jobs I was hoping to have it finished for Halloween. I ended up using King Tut Stone Age thread on the front. It was the perfect tonal black/greys for this quilt. I used a silvery blue on the back so that the spiderwebs would show up. I was thinking about using a colorful varigated on the back but changed my mind even though the majority of you voted for the varigated. I quilted the borders to be very whimsical. I had some challanges with the borders. If I ever make a border like this one again, I'll do the pieced part on a foundation. It puckered because of the pieced thinner border and was a real challenge to quilt. It was quilted freehand.
