Yeah no, he really does! There's the star pattern, a secondary pattern with two diamonds and the halves of two diamonds, but he sees the squares, and he can see the letters L O V E on the top row. Not one after another, but the form of the letters in the square lines. Very hard to see, he had to point it out, but it is there.
It fascinated me, the way different people can see different things. I would never have picked letters out of this one.
