Thanks, the 1st ones I did are not as good as the last ones and I was going to take them out and redo them, but this is a learning experience for me, so I decided to leave them the way they are to remind me where I started and how far I come in the hand applique process. I did dark blue background instead of the black. I enlarged my blocks to 9" because I wanted to give myself room to cut them down in case I didnt have them centered perfectly. But I think I am going to leave them 8 1/2" so they are not as close together as in the book. But I will decide that once I get the center unit blocks finished and start putting them together.
