it sounds as if they are (trying) to take care of their customers in a good way.
It is disappointing to not get what you were hoping to..both in the quilting world and in the restaurant one...we went out for dinner last month and by 5pm they were already out of the special...we had to change our minds on what we went out for...and it was a hard decision
As for running out of fabric specials...they probably way under estimated the amount of people that would want the special...it is very hard to predict.
