Nice work !
I'm afraid embroidery isn't a skill I ever acquired except for cross stitch if that counts. I am getting better the more I do but I will never be found embroidering wedding dress lace that's for sure. I fused a piece of white fabric to the face and satin stitched it on (machine of course). I then stitched from the corner outwards and back again several times to give the little 'sun rising' shape, finishing off by stitching along the edge of the shape with a stitch which probably has a fancy name but I will call it straight stitch.. The nose is two french knots and the lips a double thread used to outline the mouth shape. Add a row of eyelashes and two slightly uneven eyebrows also with double thread and there we are.
With the girl with the Linus blanket I also added a couple of eyelids to change the expression a bit.
