Yes that is a Shar-pei and can you believe she was "free to a good home". On top of being so very precious she has the sweetest little personality in the world. Every day I look at her in amazement that someone would not want this baby. Our vet said that she is a purebred but not show quality which is no big deal to me. She is a big girl now and I will try to post a more recent picture.
I also have a Shar-pei that was free! He was found in bad shape hanging around the dumpster behind a local bar. The bartender called us before calling the Humane Society because she knew we had to put down our beloved Sadie 3 months before (another Shar-pei who was suffering from old age). We took him home and named him Otis (after the town drunk on Mayberry). He had heartworms and a skin condition but he`s all cured now and a wonderful dog!
