Hi all. Just wanted to show you my practice. Here are 3 things I have never really done on a real quilt before and I want to Make a crayon quilt, blanket stitch around the edges and FMQ. I am making a shoe rack so I thought what a great way to practice these techniques since it is going to be hanging on the back of my closet door.
I am using scraps.. I have learned alot already and have alot to learn.
I will need to color on white fabric.
Coloring the same direction makes it look nicer.
The darker you color the better the color comes thru. I do think the white will really help with that
I went really slow with the blanket stitch.
I still need to learn how to control around the curves.
Really pay attention to which stitch I am on when I come to a point.
I will need to use stabilizer ( I didnt want to use it tonight since it was for practice and $$$ is tight right now.
I dont have time to start the fmq tonight that will have to be tomorrow.

If you have any other advice to share I would LOVE to hear it.
Thank you
