I posted the catalog picture of this a few days ago asking for quilting suggestions. This is a flannel quilt from Connecting Threads. It's top-stitched applique, which means when you wash it the edges get all fuzzy and funky. It meant cutting off about a million threads, but I'm happy with the result, because the quilt is incredibly warm and soft.

I mostly stippled in the large squares. In the past I've met miserable failure in the attempts to stipple, but this time I used Leah Day's method and turned my stitch lengh down to zero (well, my machine will only go down to .02, but it worked) and not to drop the feed dogs. Worked like a charm! I learned a whole lot on this quilt, and now I feel like I could go ahead and start quilting some of my UFOs if I don't try to get too fancy!

This is for my daughter's new apartment.
