Oh that looks like hours of fun.

My daughter asked me to go with her and her kids on a one day "on your own" bus trip to NYC the second Saturday in December. At first I said I probably would go but then after thinking about it I've decided to tell her not this year but next year. My first social security check is to be deposited in my account on 12/21/11. Up until that time I really don't have the kind of money you need to eat and shop in NYC. The last time I was there was in November of 2000 and I thought prices were outrageous then. A bottle of water in the restaurant where my hubby and I ate dinner was $8.00. The total for our meal...and it wasn't anything extravagant...was over $100.00. She wants to do the Red Apple Bus Tour that my hubby and I did when we were there. I THINK it was at least $25.00 each. And the cost of the bus trip alone is $62.00 each. Oh...and we leave the middle school parking lot at 7 A.M. and don't arrive back at the school at midnight. We stayed at the Grand Central Hyatt because the reason we went was his birthday and Christmas gift from me. We went to B.B. King's club to see Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys in concert.

Now that I know this quilt shop is there I would be kicking myself if I didn't have any money to spend. LOL
