Mine has a brown motor added to it but I think it was a hand crank in it's youth. There is no crank though. It also has a clip on the inside of the wooden case, does yours, do you know what it's for?
The clip on the inside case, in many cases, was to hold the knee operator, Singer had them on their machines decades before the modern machine makers thought of it!
