I use three layers of flannel instead, then they are all cut to the same size and you are not trying to piece with the batting in there. It makes the "frills" alot better too. You did a fantastic job on this one!
Thanks - I learned not to use the batting after I had already quilted 1/2 the squares, so just continued with it. It wasn't a problem quilting, but it was joining the blocks and rows!!
