I was watching Nancy Zieman today on PBS and she showed how to baste the three layers of a quilt together using fusible web. She actually used fusible web on a roll and placed little bits about the same space apart as you would pin on the backing fabric and then on the batting. Peel off the paper and press all three layers together. worked perfectly and so much easier than pinning and/or spray basting.
