If you haven't handquilted batiks before, you may want to practice and find a needle that doesn't cramp up your hand. (Ask me how I know.) Personally, I prefer to machine quilt batiks since they are so tightly woven. It is an exquisite quilt and will be amazing no matter how you quilt it.
