I took your advice - I got all 4 of the practice blocks I made out of the corner where I threw them in frustration and really analyzed the problem. It seemed that each block had an issue with the star points. So it was clear that it was that portion and not the whole block. I fiddled with it and TA DA!!! I finished one and while it's not perfect, it's pretty darn good and I am just tickled pink. I think I'll make one more practice block to perfect that section and then I'm going to start on my own Dizzy Geese quilt.
