See the lighter color grounds in the can? Most of that is filler. It's cheaper to buy quality whole beans and grind them when needed. You use less. Coffee beans will keep for years on the shelf in an airtight container. Never in the freezer.
Yes I did, I work in a coffee area of HyVee and jjwhen we switched brands, we had a few customers who weren't pleased. It's amazing that people will adapt to fillers and cheaper ingrediants and when they are given the real 100% coffee bean again, it's like a shock to the system. That's one reason I only but coffee in the bean form, I want the real mccoy.
