Its 'dish towel cloth'.Back in the day we had a Tiedtke's store in downtown Toledo and I remember my Gramma and Great Aunt buying it for 18 cents a yard. GA would embroider all the embelishments and G would sew the hems.This was back in the 60's. Thank you for reviving these childhood memories :-) :-)
