I love when the wild turkeys come thru to glean the berries, too. We have a flat sprawling kind of berry that grows all around our yard and the turkeys just love them. They come thru in flocks in the early fall to clean them out. These berries grow like a ground cover and make a solid mat about a foot high in areas where they are not disturbed. They look like small blackberries but are a little tart. We leave lots of areas for the berries to ripen!
